How to beat stress

First of all, anything you’ll read now or in any stress advice related article – your first thought would be ‘huh easier stated then done… ‘ . Just comprehend that if you have taken the pain to search this topic online, you might actually go on and try implementing a few things in these articles. Not all but some steps are surely going to make a difference.

The only suggestionsI can make are from my daily life, what I find helpful while dealing with stress.

1. Make yourself understand (repeat in head continuously) that stress is something that will come along all the time in life. In job, at home, in love … everywhere. The idea is to not shatter every time something is taking a toll on you but learn to continue living while dealing with it. It’s not a huge deal really; each and every living individual has their own set of stressors. Try finding one who is totallydevoid of it.

2. Every time you feel stressed, get into action. Move around a little, stretch, go for a jog, take deep breathes, take up a sport.

3. Call a friend or close one – reminiscence the good times, gossip a little. It’s incredible how a good chat can refresh you.

4. Get a dog, play with it. Play with a friend’s dog if you don’t have one.

5. Watch a light hearted good movie (or television), something that tickles your funny bone.

6. Find your thing – by this I mean do that thing which always has pepped you up or made you feel peaceful inside. Like listening to classical music or dancing or writing a poem or may just communing with nature

7. Stop delaying – This is one of the most important points, we often tend to want to delay the issue so that we can get some more time to NOT face it. It actually is just aggravating your stress level as you will be constantly thinking about the issue till its not over. Face the situation at the earliest! Good riddance is the key here.

Remember, Stress is inevitable… its how we respond to it is what changes the entire equation.
